Accused Charged with Firearm Offences
Officers of the Serious Crime Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force have charged CARLOS HIGGS with four counts of firearm-related offences.
Mr. HIGGS, 20, of Five Cays, Providenciales, was arrested on Sunday, 12th May 2024, following a long-standing investigation into serious and organised crime in the TCI, specifically gun crime.
Mr. Higgs was charged this afternoon (May 18th) with the following offences:
- Conspiracy to possess firearms;
- Conspiracy to possess ammunition;
- Conspiracy to supply firearms and
- Conspiracy to supply ammunition.
Mr Higgs is scheduled to appear in court next week.
